Virtual Support

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way of delivering healthcare to people since the lockdown. Thankfully, the bad times are over and it showed us how we could adapt our physiotherapy services. Online meetings have become the new norm with clear advantages. It does not require a physical space and therefore prices can be less, for the same expert, high-quality advice.

Who can benefit from Virtual Support?

  1. Many people started working from home, maybe doing more shifts. Now it is time to take care of your musculoskeletal health. If you spend more time at home and exercise less, or if you are looking for some professional advice for your home set-up, or if you feel musculoskeletal problems, pain or stiffness, then you can easily speak to me online.

  2. For those who live in remote areas, accessing a physio can be challenging, not to mention price and commuting time. You can also save the pennies and pounds on travel, as you won’t need to leave your house.

  3. Perhaps you regularly travel for business; if this is the case, you may find that you’re often away from your physio. With online physiotherapy, you can still contact me even when you’re away.

  4. If you just had your baby or you’re unable to leave your house, I can advise on how to minimise the risk of mastitis, neck pain and lower back pain.

How does it work?

  1. I will send you a Google Meet invitation by email.

  2. Video conference link will be in the joining info in the invitation.

  3. When the meeting time arrives, you will click the video conference link which will open the Google Meet page and you will automatically be connected to the call.

  4. I will conduct the consultation as if you were truly face to face, listening to your story, asking you questions about your problem and asking you to perform certain movements to ascertain what’s causing your problem and then discuss the best solution for you.

  5. Then I will be able to provide you with a diagnosis and develop the best treatment plan for you.

  6. The treatment plan will consist of some self-stretch and treatment techniques with a rehabilitation exercise program.

  7. I will then arrange a follow-up to review your progress in the coming days to discuss our treatment goals.

  8. Patient education is a key of face to face or online physio consultation. I will send you emails to follow up about what is going on, how the exercises and self-treatment help you and what you need to do differently in order to help your recovery in the next session.
